Following the reopening guidelines of USA Wrestling, TXUSAW is going forward. With wrestling clubs returning to practice and the UIL releasing training its time to start moving forward. There is still a lot of unknown concerning the competitions as far as exactly how they will be handled, but USAW has guidelines to follow.
Words from our President Charles Strange:
TXUSAW is going to run a Summer Freestyle/Greco season. Starting on 6/15/20 we will be able to hold local competitions and we are actively working on ways to live stream matches to allow maximum viewers with the minimal attendance. Our season will culminate with an Open National Event on the Weekend of 7/25/20. The event will be for 14U,16U, and Junior level athletes. We do not have a location selected. We also plan on live casting this event with track wrestling.
