Dominic Chavez Goes D1

Dominic Chavez of Arlington Martin one of the best Texas has to offer and ranked 5th in the State P4P has committed to Presbyterian College located in Clinton, South Carolina.   Like University of Arkansas Little Rock it will be starting their first season of division 1 wrestling and are in the SoCon conference.  Chavez is a state champ also finishing 2nd and 5th. He is a multiple time freestyle state champ and is a 2x Fargo freestyle All American placing 5th in both cadets and juniors.  Chavez was a NHSCA National Champion in Virginia Beach and is ranked #86 on the class of 2020 flo big board. The coach of Presbyterian is Mark Cody who is the former head coach of American and Oklahoma Universities.  They also have a division 1 girls program and are currently in construction on a 6 May wrestling complex.

Chavez projects as a 125 or 133lb weight class.  Chavez picked Presbyterian College over other D1 colleges Missouri, North Dakota State, and Arkansas Little Rock.
