College Park Boys win the 9th annual Chicken Wing Invitational

The Chicken Wing Tournament is one of the favorite in season wrestling tournaments in Texas, bringing in teams from all over the state! This tournament includes teams from Houston, Dallas, New Braunfels, San Antonio and Austin!  

Houston Westside hosts this tournament sponsored by Knockout, Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters, and more providing wrestlers and coaches with the opportunity to compete for gold medals, chicken wings, and fresh gear!

Tournament Recap:

Conroe Woodlands, College Park takes 1st place as a team with 5 champions! And barely edging out Katy by half a point, Klein High School goes home with 2nd place with 2 champs! Here is a weight-by-weight recap of the Chicken Wing Invitational:  

106 – Champ: Brandon Patillo

Brandon Pattillo of College Park and Kenneth Nichols of Klein dominate this group of lightweights by pinning their way to the finals. In the finals match up, it was a pretty tight match with Pattillo scoring the first and only points of the match with a first period takedown. The match would end 2-0 and College Park got their first champion of the evening!  

On the consolation side Chris Munoz who dropped in the semis to Pattillo, picked up a pin and a tech fall to earn 3rd place….
