Brotherhood and Beyond: Karson Tompkins’ Wrestling Success Leads Him to Air Force

Karson Tompkins is following his brothers but he will be blazing his own path.

The Midlothian standout committed to Air Force on July 31 to wrestle, following older brothers Kaleb and Kade who are playing football there.

“They was one of the first ones that started talking to me after, so they were there right from the beginning,” Tompkins said of the recruitment by the Falcons. “They believed in me when I wasn’t as good as I am now. And they have a great coaching staff and it’s a really, really cool place.”

Tompkins is a very accomplished wrestler, winning his second UIL state title in February. He finished his junior season with a 50-0 mark and won the Class 5A 190-pound title and pinned his way to the title with a 4-0 showing at the state meet…
