Branson Britten the Lone 16U Texan @ Freestyle Nationals Going for 3rd Place

Branson Britten is going for 3rd place and is the lone Team Texas 16U wrestler left completing in the National 16U Freestyle Championships.  Britten is also the lone unranked wrestler to make the semi finals and 1 of 3 unranked wrestlers in the top 6.    #4 Rylan Rodgers of Washington but with Blair Academy, #8 Tate Picklo of Mustang Oklahoma, #11 Lenny Pinto of Stroudsburg PA. Gavin Nelson of Minnesota and  Evan Canoyer of Nebraska are the other non ranked wrestlers.
In the semi finals Britten was in on a last second takedown but ran out of time and loss 4-2 against #4 Rodgers  to put him into the consolation semi finals against the another unranked wrestler Canoyer from Nebraska who beat the #17 Soldano 10-8.   In the consolation semi finals Britten tech-falled Canoyer 12-2 and will face off against #8 Tate Pickle to make another red river battle
The 16U medal rounds will be starting at 1pm, Monday the 15th.
