Boys State Team Race

After Day 1 the team race is pretty much set with the boys and like I suspected earlier this week things are playing out exactly like we thought.

6A boys Allen has a commanding lead and for the most part has already won their 11th straight state title barring all 12 wrestlers left in the day 2 all loose and every one else is fighting for 2nd place. Allen has 6 in the semi finals and 6 in the consolations.
Arlington Martin and Katy are both tied for 2nd place at the moment with 47 points each.  College Park is only 2 points behind at 45.
Martin has 5 wrestlers in the semi finals and 1 in the consolations.  Katy has 3 in the semi finals and 3 in the Consolations, and College Park has 2 in the semi finals and 4 in the consolations.   If everyone wins their matches the order will be Allen, Martin, Katy , and then College Park.

5A boys has Canyon Randall has a 17 point lead over Frisco Centennial 65-48.  Centennial defeated Randall at dual state by criteria earlier this season.  El Paso Eastwood is currently in 3rd place with 40 points and College Station A&M Consolidated brings in 4th with 35.
Randall has 5 in the semi finals and 2 in the consolations.  Centennial has 3 in the semi finals and 3 in the consolations.  Eastwood has 3 in the semi finals and 3 in the consolations as well.  CS A & M cons. has 2 in the semi finals and only 1 left in the consolations. In this race if every one wins then Randall claims their 2nd straight  state title followed b y Centennial, however it will be an interesting race with Eastwood and Centennial each having the same amount of wrestlers left in the the same group, it will come down to match ups and bonus points as Centennial has an 8 point advantage.
