Bo Nickal is a NCAA D1 National Champion

Penn State University’s and Allen Texas own Bo Nickal captured the 2nd ever in Texas history a D1 National Championship.  Nickal makes the finals by getting a Tech fall his first match and pinning the next 3 consecutive wrestlers to advance into the finals where he met the #1 seed Gabriel Dean of Cornell the #1 ranked wrestler in the nation, and by the way going for his 3rd consecutive National title at the 184lb weight class.
Dean got the first takedown and let Nickal back up for the escape, Nickal on a video review received the 2nd takedown and held till the 2nd period. score 2-3 Nickal
2nd period Nickal choose down and got the escape score  2-4, riding time not a factor.
3rd period, Dean choose down and gets the escape score 4-3 Nickal.  Nickal holds on to a leg last 20 seconds to keep Dean from scoring the takedown to upset the 2x champ.

Nickal finishes the year with a 26-1 record.  The Championship also gives Nickal an automatic berth to the World Team Trails.
