On Tuesday night former Allen wrestler Bo Nickal fought Zachary Borrego on Dana White’s contender series. Nickal was a massive favorite and performed as such.
Nickal took Borrego down early before Borrego got back to his feet briefly. Nickal then took Borrego’s back and submitted him about one minute into the fight.
On the Contender Series, Dana White has the option to offer winners UFC Contracts. He opted not to offer a contract to Nickal on Tuesday but plans to schedule another fight for him where he’ll have another shot at a contract.
Dana White announced after the fight that if Nickal gets one more win in that next fight he’ll get a contract in the UFC.
