Ashleigh Denny Becomes Horizon High School’s First College Wrestler

Ashley Denny out of Horizon High School has been a part of a number of firsts for Horizon High school. She was their first state placer and has now become their first collegiate wrestler as she’s signed with William Penn University in Iowa.

Denny joined the wrestling team on a dare and fell in love with the sport, eventually becoming a regional champion and finishing 4th at the state tournament.

She says that bet along with her supportive coaches are what propelled her to college.

William Penn is in Oskaloosa, Iowa and competes in NAIA.
