Allen takes 4th place at The Tournament of Champions

After 2 hard days of wrestling in Reno Nevada at the Tournament of Champions, one of the toughest folkstyle tournaments in the country.  Allen Eagles ended with a 4th place finish with 5 medal placers. Noah Yeamans finished 6th at 113lb after reaching the semis.  120lb  Alonzo Herrera lost a 2-0  match keeping him from being #6 placer after beating the 2nd seed the first day.  Logan Brown  after earlier beating the #2 seed as well got him an 8th place finish at 126.   At 160lb freshman AJ Ferrari unseeded in the tournament makes his way to the semi finals by beating National Rank Jaryn Curry of Choctaw with a last second take down, than in the semi finals Ferrari beats the #14 ranked wrestler Jaron Chavez of Centennial with another last second takedown to meet #4 ranked Layne Van Anrooy from Roseburg Oregon where he takes his first loss of the year 10-4 to place 2nd.  Braedan Redlin bumped up to wrestle 170 as the #2 seed and lost a close semi finals match to #17 ranked Hayden Hastings of Sheridan,  Redlin won the next match 8-3 to face Cole Moody from Bingham HS, Utah  in the 3rd place match where he takes 3rd with a 3-1 decision.  Mark Inglehart unseeded lost to the 3rd seed in the quarter finals  and battled back to the consulation semis where he lost a close 6-4 decision to the #1 seed Seely from Juab HS who just got beat to put him in the 5th place match to face the 3 seed Woodard from Crook County HS, Oregon  he had lost to earlier.  Inglehart redeems himself with a 3-1 decision to take 5th place.  Nico Manznelli at 220 was one match away from placing as well.

Allen heads to Modesto California from here to wrestle another 2 day tournament the Mike Tamana Invitational before heading home for Christmas break.
