Alex Liles of Allen is no stranger to the spotlight, Liles is Wrestlingtexas Wrestler of the Week. Liles won the 62 kg title at the Women’s Nationals to make the U.S. women’s freestyle Junior World Team that will compete in September in Trnava, Slovakia. Also Liles won the State and Regional Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award (TSHSEA).
The TSHSEA recognizes and celebrates the nation’s most outstanding high school senior female wrestlers for their excellence in wrestling, scholastic achievement, citizenship and community service and is an award given by the Wrestling Hall of Fame.
This weekend she will compete to make the senior world team.
