Aledo ISD is Hiring Their First Wrestling Coach

It was reported in March by the Weatherford Democrat that Aledo ISD was considering hiring a wrestling coach and starting a wrestling program.

According to the article, the Board of Trustees considered the motion and decided to add the teaching/coaching position. And now the program is moving forward with hiring a new coach.

This position is for a Head Boys/Girls Wrestling Coach + Teaching Content TBD for the 21-22 school year.

~Reports to: Principal & Athletic Director

Primary Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Provide instruction and coach students to develop skills and ability to excel in sport assigned.
Contribute to education program as a whole and to growth of students involved in athletics

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university;
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned;   see above

Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
