From District Dominance to State Dreams: Arlington Martin’s Wrestlers Ready for Next Challenge

The first steps toward chasing a state title is in the rearview mirror for the Arlington James Martin High School boys wrestling team.

The Warriors, ranked No. 2 in the state poll, easily outdistanced the competition at the District 3-6A meet held Wednesday at the Arlington ISD Athletics Center.

Martin had 301 ½ points, followed by Arlington Lamar in second with 185 points and Arlington with 145 points.

The dominance was evident by having 11 champions and 12 of the 14 finals featured a Martin grappler.
