6A Boys Breakdown

We take the top ranked guys in each weight and based off rankings do our best guesstimate on how each weight will play out. Every year there is first round and 2nd round upsets and for the most part rakings go out the window. Martin will be looking to dethrone Allen this year and has the fire power to do so but the match ups and bonus points will be the determining factor plus this isn’t the Allen/Martin show it’s the state tournament and each weight has the chance to shine on a new wrestler coming through. There is always under the radar wrestlers who my no choice of theirs don’t see the top ranked wrestlers to have a chance to become top ranked wrestlers themselves. Below is my best guess on how it could play out.

Brandon Carrillo is the only returning state placer here but the top 4 guys here now that Arlington Martins Stone Perlunger is out is #1 Titus Howell of Keller Timber Creek, #2 Santiago Ramirez of Westside both sophomores and #3 Jonah Arellano of Pflugerville Weiss, Charlie Trujillo of Vandegrift both freshmen. We start off with Howell’s road to the finals. Howell on the bottom side of the bracket should meet the winner of Lymon Jackson of Conroe vs Trujillo in the quarter finals and be waiting on Ramirez in the semifinals…
