The only 5 Texans to make it to the quarter finals in Virginia Beach at the National High School Coaches Association Nationals were Kyle Kretzer, Daniel Manibog, Sam Mora, Dominic Chavez, and Aaron Lofton out of the 61 boys who had entered the tournament. All the others that lost today will get a chance to wrestle back through on Saturday as the tournament is set up to only wrestle the championship side the first day. So 56 Texas wrestlers will commence wrestling on Saturday but 1 more loss and their done. Some of the wrestlers were on their 4th match in the blood round to the quarter finals as a lot of the brackets were 128 man brackets with some of them almost full.
