5 Team Texas Women Make the Semi Finals

After a grueling day 1 for the Team Texas Junior Women @ the Freestyle Nationals in Fargo where 53 women started wrestling the day and 12 women are still in the hunt with 7 of them guaranteed All American’s.  5 women are in the blood round and must when one more match to AA.
Team Texas sits tied for 6th place after day 1 of wrestling and has the wrestlers still going to finish top 3.  California , Washington, Illinois, Missouri, Hawaii and Colorado wrap up the top 6
Texas can still finish top 3 as a Team.
5 of the women are in the semi finals, here is how they got there.

#6@117 Camille Fournier beat #6@112 Amani Jones from Georgia to make the semi finals where she will meet the #1@112 from Hawaii Tiare Ikei.
#1@127 Xochitl Mota Pettis beat #11@127 Asia Nguyen-Smith in the quarter finals and will meet the #9@127 Amor Tuttle of Minnesota in the semi finals.
Unranked Sydney Harper @ 127 surprised a few with her win over #15 Lortney Atchley of Illinois in the round of 16 then with her quarter finals win over #3@ 132 Mia Macaluso of New York. Harper will have an unranked Lana Perez from Hawaii in the semi finals.
Could be an all Texas Final.
#8 @ 225 Hanna Francis with her very first match beat #2@ 225 Cristina Santoya of California then  #11@225 Kathleen Janis of Utah in the quarter finals.  Francis will have #4 @ 200 Isabeau Shalack in the semi finals from Illinois.
#6@225 and defending Fargo Champ @ 225 Gabi Holloway beat #18@225 Lexi Cole of Missouri first round then beat #19@225 Texas own Ashley Tapp in the quarters to reach the semi finals where Holloway will have #7 @ 225Jasmine Guerrero of California.  Side Note: Ashley Tapp is the only wrestler to beat Holloway in the last 2 years.
Could be another all Texas final at 225 like last year as well as the 2nd potential final for 2019 with 127 weight class.

Unranked Valerie Carreon lost to the #13 @100 Isabella Morales of Washington in the round of 16 by only 1 point and has reeled off 3 wins to make AA status.  #17@100 Elizabeth Dosado of Virginia in the Cons 4.
Unranked and former Cadet National Champ Nia Miranda lost in the round of 16 and has fought her way back including wins over #18 Emma Cole of Missouri to make her another All American.  Miranda will have #2 @144 Tiyahna Askew of Georgia in the Cons 4 round.
Hunter robinson, Ashley Lekas, Brittyn Corbishley, Daniella Seely ans Ashley Tapp are in the blood round.
