3x State UIL Wrestling Champions

Well we talked about the 4x state champs so here is The Who’s who for the 3x state champs.  We only have 3 this season and all boys.  Becoming a 3x state champ is no small feat. Below is a break down of the 3 we have this season with one wrestler from Allen, and 2 from Canyon Randall.

Juwan Robinson a senior  of Allen a 4x state finalist won his third state championship and was a controversial OT loss in 2016 of being a 4x champ.  Robinson won 2015 @ 138, 2017 @ 152, and 2018 @ 160.

Johnathon “speedy” Ortegon a junior of Canyon Randall won his 3rd consecutive state championship and is set up to be the 1st 5A 4x state champ.  Ortegon has won 2016 @ 106, 2017 @ 106, and 2018 @ 120.

Xavier “X” Torres a senior of Canyon Randall also won his 3rd state championship.  Torres is a 4x state placer and was 1 match away from being a potential 4x state champ losing in the semi finals in 2016 and settling for 3rd.  Torres has won 2015 @ 113, 2017 @ 126, 2018 @ 126
