Twenty two teams from all over the USA are registered for the 2018 Mid Summer MatBash being held at Northwest High School. This is a dual team event, teams are comprised of multiple kids from all over different schools and states. One might call these teams All-Star Teams.
The teams will be split up into Pools to wrestle the first day (Friday, July 27th). On the 2nd day, teams are being split into pools based on the W/L record of the previous day, just like the National Duals. Girls teams will compete on day 3.
Wrestling will begin Friday, July 27th doors open at 7am, wrestling starts at 8am, and conclude Sunday the 29th with Girls duals for the first time at this event.
WrestlingTexas will be in the house for all 3 day covering the action. You can pre-order individual spotlight packages (we will shoot all of your matches) or team spotlights (we shoot ALL matches for the team in a single or multiple duals.) Preorders can be made here.
According to tournament director Nick McClellan, “This year once again a great field of teams will ascend on North Texas for the 8th Annual A Mid-Summer Mat Bash. There are 21 teams from 10 states! This year we will see a tough California and New Mexico team. These teams have heard about the tough competition and finally pulled the trigger”.
