Rebounding from their disappointing 15th place finish at the THSWCA Dual Ste Championships last weekend, the Klein boys racked up 213 points to walk away with the 2017 Hurricane classic team trophy. Their commanding day one lead was never challenged. The second place trophy, however, was hotly contested. Cy Woods picked up gold medals in 3 of the last 5 finals matches to score 188 point pull away from The Woodlands (175.5) and Cy Lakes (174).
There was an even tighter second place race in the girls’ tournament. Conroe Oak Ridge walked away with 119.5 points. Austin Bowie and New Braunfels both scored 99 points, Cy Woods just fell short taking the silver in the 215lb final to finish with 97 points.
