14U Greco Roman National Team Texas Results, Navarrete Makes All American team

The 14U National Texas Dual Team only has one team this year got a bad draw in the Pool A bracket. Facing off against New Jersey their first dual resulted in a loss to the eventual Pool Champs and the tournament dual champs. Their next dual was against Wisconsin whom lost its first dual to power house Illinois. Wisconsin only beat Texas 50-31 while they cruised to a 3rd place finish beating everyone else by a larger margin. This unfortunately put Texas in the Green/Yellow Pool where the best they can do is 25th out of 33 dual teams. If Texas was in any other Pool they would have been in the Bronze/Copper Pool. IMO. From there Texas went on a 4 dual win streak to take first place in the Pool Bracket beating every team handedly and placing 25thoverall.

Zayn Navarrete at 110lbs went 5-0. Navarrete is a world Greco Roman traveler and was the only Texan to achieve All American honors.
