We are down to the Championship Finals. Weights 135/138-160lbs are all on 1 poll sheet for easier voting. I try to give a small break down of each finals wrestlers. Are we having fun yet? Voting will end Saturday June 13th enjoy.
135/138 class features Matt Sansone – 2004, Arlington Martin – Single Class which I don’t know a lot about because this was early in my wrestlingtexas years. Sansone will go up against 2017 Daniel Manibog a sophomore from Katy who won his 1st of 3 state championships that year.
The 140 weight class has 2005 Matt Sansone of Arlington Martin with his 2nd state title going up against a 1999 Michael Sherill of Canyon Randall.
145 weight class has 2003 Will Rowe of Arlington Lamar up against 2009 Tyler Lee of Lewisville Marcus.
152 weight class the 2020 star senior Chase Warden of Dripping Springs coming off his 2nd state title going up against 2015 senior Quentin Perez of Arlington coming off his 2nd state title. Oddly enough Perez just finished his senior year at Campbell University and Warden will start his freshman year this coming fall.
160 weight class has 2019 senior Daniel Manibog of Katy in his prime going up against 2013 Bo Nickal of Allen his junior year where Nickal’s only loss that year was to Isaiah Martinez if any of ya know him. Manibog just captured his 3rs state title and Nickal just had gotten his 2nd.
