Might you be potentially interested in geographically exploring, while benefiting our sport?   Why not consider Virginia?   A teaching certificate is not required to coach wrestling [and / or football] at the college preparatory high school & middle school levels in Virginia.   Meanwhile Virginia's prep schools compete in the National Preps (along with various Texas prep schools) each winter.   They're traditionally held in nearby Pennsylvania but could someday rotate each year to Va., Ga. and Texas (etc.)...   Anyhow:

Help wanted:

*Collegiate H.S. in Richmond, Va. can always benefit from having incoming quality coaches, especially those seeking job opportunities nearby in that state capital city:

*Bishop O'Connell HS in Arlington, VA (near Washington D.C.) is expanding its coaching staff for the 2018-2019 winter season.   Please contact head coach Alex Vergara, .

*Randolph Macon Academy, a boarding school in Front Royal, VA  (sort of near D.C.) is looking for wrestling coaches for grades 6 - 12.   Please contact A.D. Frank Sullivan at

*The Potomac School (near Washington D.C.) is looking for a new head coach (and possibly assistant coaches). If you know of any potential candidates, please have them contact Rob Lee.  He's the boys athletic director at Potomac school in McLean, Virginia. His cell is 571-238-1098 and his email is rlee AT  (Please replace the AT with the @ symbol).

*Roanoke Catholic school,  which is located in Roanoke, Va. (near Va. Tech. University's Blacksburg, Va.) is in search of a wrestling coach for middle and high school kids.  If you are interested in this position and would like more info then please contact the Roanoke Catholic schools athletic director by e-mail at mpeck AT (please replace the AT with the @ symbol) anb / or call the school at 540-982-3735 or the AD (Matt Peck) personally at 540-293-3791.

For more details about Roanoke Catholic:

Incidentally, Roanoke Catholic's crosstown rival North Cross has recently reinstated wrestling but could likely use more coaches to help with recruiting (especially through football-related outreach):

By the way, Virginia has around a dozen NCAA college wrestling programs, plus additional NCWA ones ...  This map is missing some of them:

Anyhow plenty of other prep. schools in Va. need (more) wrestling coaches.  Beneath this photo are the 2018 Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association ( state varsity wrestling tourney results:
