17-18 Rankings
« on: December 19, 2017, 01:16:46 PM »
Would like everyone to take a look at the 5A rankings, let us know if kids have moved/not wrestling/injury or what ever, I would like to see the chatter and hear what you think.  Has anyone watched the Lampasas 160 lb kid wrestle?  He is a beast.

Any updates out there?  Then let see if we can answer some questions.

1.  Nick Hammond from Dripping Springs staying at 145 lbs?
2.  Toby Adams from Hutto 126 lbs?  been at 132 or 138 all year is he moving after the new year?
3.  Camron Everts from Lampasas 160 lbs beat Kario Turrubiates Bryan H2H and is the only 5A kid he has wrestled should he be ranked?
4.  Esteban Prince from Austin McCallum 160 lbs?  or is he heavier?
5.  Steve Lopez from Austin Travis 138 lbs, is he wrestling?
6.  Juan Gutierrez from Amarillo Palo 138 lbs, is he wrestling?
7.  Jorrin Crown from Humble Kingwood Park 138 lbs, is he wrestling?

Texas Wrestling crowd is tough to get talking.  Lets hear what you have to say.

John Madden once said "I would have all of my offensive linemen wrestle if I could."

Daniel Leal from CC Veterans is wrestling at 132 now, he's been weighing in at 132 for a couple of weeks now but has been wrestling 138 pounders for dual meets.

How can Esteban Montoya (Bryan Rudder) move up in 160 weight class rankings if he hasnít been wrestling this season?
How is that Kairo Turrubiartes (Bryan) dropped so many spots in the 160 weight class rankings when he has placed in top 3 at 5 consecutive tournaments beating 5A and 6A wrestlers?

Give Cristian Vega from Midlothian a look at 160.  I think he 15-2 after taking 1st place at Lamar this weekend.  His only losses are to Christian Knighton from McKinney who is ranked and another kid from Chisolm Trail who he split decisions with.

kids can get moved by the voting peeps, the rankings are done by a poll now, and if I remove someone from a weight because they moved to a different weight then everyone below moves up,  hence why Montoya moved up and hasn't wrestled, other the flip side Turrubiartes drops because he didn't receive votes to keep him at the top.  lastly it takes people like yourself to bring to my attention when this happens and I can make sure wrestlers get into the right spot for proper voting/ranking.  I will check on this and move Montoya out if he isn't wrestling.
Thanks for the input
Ray

I check on rankwrestlers from time to time, but found they have holes in their rankings a much as mine,  they do however because of track keep up with the weight changes that drive me crazy.  at the end of the day its only as good as the info you can get, or find.  my daily drama, hahaha.  It is a good tool though, thanks
