TSW takes 3rd at King of the Mountain,
Ross and Decker named Outstanding Wrestlers Texas School of Wrestling (TSW) captured 3rd place in the elementary duals this past weekend at the King of the Mountain tournament in Castle Rock, Colorado. In the tournament,
TSW wrestler Turner Ross was named Outstanding Wrestler in the Bantam division while Parker Decker was named OW in the Middle School division.
As a team, TSW placed third out of sixteen in the dual tournament, losing only to Team Vision Quest. TSW won four other dual matches, including a huge win over Bear Cave from Colorado.
Below are the TSW highlights.
Turner Ross – Went undefeated this weekend and was awarded Outstanding Wrestler in the Bantam division. He won all nine of his matches and, in the duals, he notched a 4-0 win over Ignacio Villensor, who won Kickoff in Tulsa a few weeks ago. Parker Decker – Won the Middle School Division 84 giving up only one point the entire tournament. For his efforts, Parker was awarded the Outstanding Wrestler in the Middle School Division.
Charlie Bergeson – Won all nine of his matches this weekend going undefeated in both the dual meet and the INT 55 tournament. Aydan Thomas – Went undefeated in both the dual event and the INT 50 tournament, accumulating a record of 10-0 for the weekend. Joseph Jeter – Turned in a heck of a performance in both his dual matches and the general tournament. He went 4-1 in the duals and placed second in a monster INT 65 bracket at the tournament falling only to Thomas Varette (who has a perfect track profile) from SOT Academy.
Preston Decker – Placed third in an extremely tough MS 98 bracket. Preston lost a heart breaker in the finals 2-1 in overtime.
Jaren Powell – Wrestled extremely well in his first three matches in the front end and then ended up placing fifth in MS 91.
